Branson's Blessing

We had Branson's Blessing on Sunday. He did great we were both very proud of him. Brittney sure had fun putting him in his little white Tux. Poor kid had to wear a monkey suit this early in life. There were a lot of friends and family that showed up. It doubled the size of our ward. The dinner afterwards was excellent. Our parents are the greatest. They always make sure things turn out good.

Thank you to everyone that came to support us. We really love that all of our family and friends are so good to us.

Baby Pet Day in Logan

Oh what great fun!! We had a great time at the Heritage Center in Logan for the Baby animal days. Branson did not know how much fun he was missing as he slept most of the day. I had a blast carrying him around and trying to keep the sun off of his little face. Brittney had a great time and loved all the baby animals. Next year will probably be a bunch more fun when Branson will be checking everything out. It was good to spend the day with my Mom and Dad. Lisa and Laradene were also there with the kids.

Next year I vote we go try and catch some baby fish to pet!!

Steel Head and Birthday Party

It was a good weekend. My Dad and I went to Stanley ID to fish for Steel head. We were a little early so the fishing was not that great, but the trip was. It is beautiful in that country. You should go if you have never been. I also love to hear the stories Dad tells about him and his family fishing up there each summer for king salmon. Each stretch of river is filled with new stories.

Brittney and Branson went to Star Valley to spend the weekend with her family. Her Dad's birthday is coming up soon so they celebrated it. She said they had a fun time. I will see if she has any photos to post.

Branson is still growing and started laughing the other day. Kids are fun!

April 1 April Fool's Day

After seeing Lacey and Kyle's blog, I thought it would be fun to start one of our own. This will be nice for those of you live else where to keep up with our doings.

The most exciting thing that has happened lately is the birth of our son Branson Kerry Smith on Jan. 9th. He weighed 7 lbs. 7oz and was 20.5 inches long. What a cool experience it is to have your own child. It has been a bit of a rough start when he did not gain weight as he should have. We had to feed him through a tube to get enough down him. That seemed to work and we removed the tube about 10 days ago. He seems to be doing great. Yesterday he was up to 8 lbs. 8 oz. We are very happy with this growth. We have been a little stressed.

Fishing is starting to get better. Dad and I are going steelhead fishing this weekend. I will put some pictures of our success on here.

We are planning on blessing Branson on the 20th of April. Hope everyone can be there.
